Pruskin Hardware combines utility and comfort with playfulness.

Designed and sculpted by artist Ben Pruskin, each piece is fully handmade from responsibly sourced lead-free bronze in Los Angeles, California.

Pruskin Hardware works well with Mid-Century, Contemporary, and Transitional interiors. 

Every order is custom and each piece is signed and dated.

Lead time, depending on the order size and how busy we are: 2-10 weeks. If work is not in inventory and requires casting: 12-18 weeks.

Ben studied sculpture at Goldsmiths College, London. On moving to Los Angeles in 2002, he continued showing and found work at the boutique Maxfield Bleu and later as an assistant to the artist Mike Kelley.

In 2015, Ben began designing cabinet hardware. There is a growing dialogue that connects art with design, and Ben was interested in making sculpture that could be used every day within the home.

Pruskin Hardware is cast in a range of three lead-free bronzes using the lost-wax process.

Ben previously designed and sculpted each piece in his home studio in Altadena.

Since the Eaton Fire of 2025, his work is now made in his new studio a few miles down the road in Monrovia.

Once molded, waxes are poured and then the wax casts are taken to a bronze foundry in Los Angeles.

Once they have been cast into bronze, they are transported back to the studio where they are finished them to each customer’s specifications.

Custom and collaborations are welcome, as are studio visits for the trade.
